MLK RFK JFK victims of the radical right

In the 1960s, Roseanne wouldn't be fired for racism.

Racism was mainstream in the 1960s and those who most feared racial equality were violent. Deadly. The right wing extremists were in the 1960s convinced "the deep state" controlled US government policy in service of East Coast liberal elites.

Medgar Evers, Addie Mae Collins, James Chaney, Lt Col Lemuel Penn and a dozen more were killed in the year around JFK's death.

Martin Luther King, Viola Gregg Liuzzo, Willie Brewster, Rev George Lee, and Robert F Kennedy were killed by the same radical right extremists in the decade around the assassination in Dallas.

The ideological descendants of the National States Rights Party, the KKK, the White Citizens Councils, and General Edwin Walker live on today, euphemistically called "the alt-right."
