Remember Addie Mae, Denise, Carole, and Cynthia?

There were many other victims of the Radical Right in 1963 besides JFK.

Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley died in a bomb blast at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama on September 15, 1963.

These four precious girls were victims of Right Wing extremists a month before the Kennedy assassination. Although the FBI identified the four KKK murderers within a year, the first conviction came only in 1977 and the last in 2002. One murderer never faced charges. Prosecuting the Radical Right is politically treacherous.

The Radical Right killed dozens of people, both black and white. We remember a president, but we forget JFK is just one victim of an extremist Southern ideology that wrought carnage for decades.
